Sarangkot (in Nepali : सराङकोट) (in an altitude of 1600 m.) is the most famous traveler destination out of where the tourists can enjoy the fantastic view of the Pokhara Valley and the magnificent view of the hills such as Annapurna Massif, Fishtail Mountain, Dhaulagiri variety, and Manaslu range. Sarangkot is just 5 km out of Lake Side area of Pokhara and greatest view point at 1600 m high for Sunrise and Sunset view across the snowy peaks. Sarangkot can be reached easily by fifteen minutes car trip to the top out of Pokhara and then ten minutes hike until the main view point. On the route that the village overlooks its own lake on the north western outskirts of town and town of Pokhara.
If you are going for trekking in the ABC(Annnapurna Base Camp) then you can view Sarangkot first, it's somehow better to look at where you are going than where you've just come from. From Sarangkot your horizon includes four (4) of the eight (8) tallest mountains on Earth, plus many more peaks.

Sarangkot is the best place for Paragliding in Pokhara. This trip offers you the opportunity to experience short fly and cross country fly.
